Pittsburgh Cybersecurity Initiatives (PCI) was born out of the passion and vision of students from the North Allegheny High School Cybersecurity Club, where a dedicated group of young cyber enthusiasts came together to learn, compete, and advocate for a more secure digital future. What began as a school-based initiative quickly grew into a broader movement to address the increasing need for cybersecurity awareness and education in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Recognizing the importance of protecting vulnerable populations and preparing the next generation of cyber defenders, PCI was formally established as a nonprofit organization. Rooted in youth leadership and community collaboration, PCI has expanded its reach beyond the classroom to serve individuals and organizations throughout the region.
Through workshops, mentorship, service projects, and public outreach, PCI continues to foster a culture of digital literacy, ethical responsibility, and civic engagement in cybersecurity—starting at the high school level and growing outward into the wider Pittsburgh community.
